End-Tidal CO2 for EMS

I am going to be lecturing at Lansing Township Fire Department on Tuesday, Feb 22nd at 11:30-1pm about a topic they requested: use of the end-tidal CO2 for pre-hospital use.

GREAT TOPIC choice everyone.

We are used to the color changing caps we have been using to verify ET placement for a while, but now we have version ETCO2.1….the next generation!

Essentially, you can use this new technology to QUANTATATIVELY measure, track, and trend a patient’s respiratory (and indirectly!) their cardiovascular status as well.

Here is a site i highly recommend you check out to learn more about capnography (click here) as Dr Khodali has been very attentive to maintaining his website and getting the best information out there for us to use and understand this new monitoring in our patient care.
